What Navaam is

Navaam searches official public business registers — Norway, Finland, Czechia, France and Slovakia. The company data you see comes from those government sources, not from us.

What we store about you

• Your email address — to sign you in.
• A display name, if you set one.
• Your folders and followed companies. A follow is stored as a country code and a registration number — nothing more.

That is the whole list.

What we store about companies

• Public register data is cached for about seven days so pages load fast, then refreshed from the source.
• Records that registers mark as protected, and sole traders, are shown live and never stored by us.
• We do not save personal identification information beyond what the public registers themselves publish and GDPR permits.

Where and how it is stored

• All data lives in one database hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany), encrypted at rest and in transit.
• Your account data is locked to your account: database rules make it unreadable to anyone else, including other users.
• We are responsible for this data. It stays until you delete your account or ask us to remove it.

Cookies

• One essential cookie keeps you signed in. It exists only for that purpose and only while you use your account.
• Your theme choice is kept in your own browser, never sent to us.
• The navaam-ui cookie remembers which interface you chose. Strictly necessary; one year.
• The navaam-cookies cookie remembers that you have seen this notice, so it is not shown again. Strictly necessary; one year.
• No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no analytics.

What we do not do

• We never sell or share your data.
• No profiling, no ads, no third-party trackers.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete everything we hold about you, and deleting your account removes your data with it. Contact the operator to exercise any of these rights.

If you appear in a company record

Navaam shows what official European business registers publish about companies, including the names and roles of the people who represent them. The legal ground is legitimate interest: making public register data findable and readable. We do not collect this from you, so here is where it comes from and what we do with it.

• Sources: the registers listed under sources and licences, plus each entry’s own citation on the page.
• We never publish national identity numbers or dates of birth, and we do not let anyone search by a person’s name.
• Where a business is registered to a person rather than a company, the street address is withheld and the record is never stored on our servers.
• Company records are cached for a short period and refreshed from the register; we keep no separate archive of people.

You can object to your data appearing, or ask for it to be removed, by writing to info@navaam.com with the company and the entry. We answer within 30 days. Where the register itself is the source, correcting the register is the only way to change what it publishes, and we will say so and remove our copy where the law allows it.

Data sources and licences

• Norway: Contains data under the Norwegian licence for Open Government data (NLOD) distributed by Brønnøysundregistrene.
• Finland: Company data from the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH), licensed under CC BY 4.0.
• Slovakia: Register of legal entities (RPO), Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Financial statements from the Register of financial statements (RÚZ), CC0.
• Estonia: Company data from the e-Business Register, Centre of Registers and Information Systems (RIK), licensed under CC BY 4.0.
• France: Company data from Recherche d'entreprises (DINUM, INSEE Sirene) under Licence Ouverte 2.0; annual accounts and the list of filed documents from the INPI Registre national des entreprises (RNE) under INPI's licence de réutilisation, with the INPI/BCE ratios dataset on data.economie.gouv.fr as fallback. Each company page shows the date its data was retrieved.
• United Kingdom: Company data from Companies House. Accounts line labels from the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) taxonomy.
• Lithuania: Company and financial statement data from the Register of Legal Entities, Registrų centras, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
• Ireland: Company data from the Companies Registration Office (CRO) open data portal, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
• Croatia: Company data from the court register (Sudski registar), Ministry of Justice, under the Croatian open licence ( Otvorena dozvola).
• Latvia: Company data, officers, name history, insolvency proceedings and annual-report figures from the Enterprise Register (Uzņēmumu reģistrs) open data on data.gov.lv, published under CC0 1.0.
• Bulgaria: Company data, officers (names and roles only), insolvency and liquidation entries and the list of announced acts from the Commercial Register of the Registry Agency (portal.registryagency.bg), a public register open to everyone. Natural-person search results and personal identification numbers are not shown.
• Czechia: Company data from ARES and unreliable-VAT-payer status from the Czech Financial Administration.
• Poland: Company data from the National Court Register (KRS) and the Ministry of Finance VAT register.
• Romania: Company data and financial indicators from ANAF.
• Cross-country: Group structure from GLEIF (CC0). VAT number checks from the EU VIES service. Annual report figures for listed groups from filings.xbrl.org (XBRL International). Exchange rates: Source: ECB statistics.
